Don’t worry be APPY

January 10 @ 4:15 pm

FREE

LIMITED TICKETS WILL BE AVAILABLE AT THE VENUE

For the first time the festival we will examine aspects of technology and mental health. Indisputably a part of society and modern culture, technology is accessible to a large portion of the population, regardless of age or background. With over 90% of the population now possessing smartphones apps would seem the ‘ideal tool’ to assist those struggling with mental health issues.

At this event we will wonder aloud on this topic and with our expert panel consider some important questions.

Is technology reshaping how we respond to mental health issues? Who is leading this, the tech or the health industry? When you type ‘mental health’ into the Google Play Store we see page after page of ‘mental health apps’. The options seem endless, but surely this should prompt some questions. What do apps mean to us today in our culture ? What is it we are expecting to happen?

Panel: Darragh Doyle; Foodcloud Community Manager (Chair), Rick Rossiter (See Change Ambassador), Prof. Gavin Doherty (TCD), Dr. Séamus Mac Suibhne, SilverCloud Health, Ben Butler (Keep Appy)

This festival venue has limited accessibility.
