Compassionate Culture: Loss and Grief awareness workshop raising for artists and cultural organisations
Please note this event is sold out.
Irish Hospice Foundation are offering loss and grief awareness sessions for artists, creatives and craftspeople.
Irish Hospice Foundation (IHF) is the national charity addressing dying, death and bereavement through advocacy, education and services. Their national consultative campaign which led to the Charter on Death, Dying and Bereavement recognised Irish people wish for more conversations about death and dying. This has become more evident in the pandemic.
IHF recognise many roles for artists and cultural organisations in response to Covid created loss. The arts help to make difficult conversations possible. Creativity helps people make sense of changed reality. Equally these are challenging times for arts organisations and artists who are impacted personally and professionally.
So they are offering help, by bringing their expertise to you.
This two hour online session, for up to 12 people, will cover:
- The spectrum of Covid related loss and bereavement
- The roles of arts and creative engagement
- Theories of grief and useful understanding
- It will offer resources and signpost sources of support and information
- Its aim is to build your awareness and confidence
There is no cost for the session. It builds on and complements IHF’s expertise and experience of similar work. The content has been designed specifically for artists and cultural organisations who may face the impact of covid. Facilitators Becs Lloyd and Dominic Campbell bring a wealth of experience to their role.
