Screenings at the IFI
Join First Fortnight at the IFI for screenings of two pieces which capture the social power and positive impact of arts activities followed by a panel discussion.
Writing Home is a documentary film by Arcade exploring a programme of creative engagement developed by poet Colm Keegan for homeless service users, developed to improve understanding around issues of homelessness while supporting social integration. The programme was supported by Creative Ireland, Poetry Ireland and Kilkenny County Council. Being Put Back Together is a short from Irish filmmaker David McDonagh. The short follows the journey of Kaylen McDonagh as he discovers photography and how it helps him as he deals with life’s difficulties. The short was Winner of Best Short Documentary at the Galway Film Fleadh.
