Therapy Sessions Cork

Therapy Sessions, a beloved staple of the festival, with its eclectic nights of music and spoken word returns for its second year in Cork! Mongoose is a musical melty-pot, combining the vocals, instrument-playing and songwriting of four women-Molly O'Mahony, Ailbhe Dunne, Muireann NíCheannabháin and Cara Dunne. The band are celebrated in particular for their tight vocal harmonies and riveting live performances.
Bohdan Piasecki is a poet from Poland based in Birmingham. A committed performer, he has taken his poems from across the UK, to Tokyo clubs, German airfields and Paris tramways.

John Spillane is a musician, songwriter, performer, recording artist, storyteller, poet, dreamer – a canvass filled with color and brilliance. His music transports the listener; his live performance captivates the audience.

Matilda O’Mahony is a singer-songwriter from West Cork, who has been performing in venues around Dublin and the rest of the country for just over 3 years. Her emotive lyrics and unique vocals are balanced by gentle piano and backing vocals courtesy of Laura Ryder.

Hailing from Clonakilty Ireland, Eve Clague is a singersongwriter who draws on the rich variety of music she grew up with in her home and community to create a highly personal and direct style of song writing.

James Crickard is a poet who writes in a camp, entertaining style that explores personal experiences and LGBT themes. On some occasions, he performs poetry in drag under the name Venus Envy. In 2019 he was selected by Poetry Ireland for the inaugural Versify series, and performed to a sold out show in Dublin Fringe.
