Wellness Trails

This trail is aimed at any and all staff in Letterkenny to have a well deserved extended dinner break that gives them time to enjoy the outdoors and the creative talent available on their doorstep. Walkers will be greeted with poetry from local artists to set them off on their Wellness Trail.

PLEASE NOTE: In light of the government’s announcement on Dec 22nd and with everyone’s health and wellbeing our top priority, we’ve made the difficult decision to cancel this event. We hope to work together again with the amazing team in Donegal to bring you events in the future.

 

 

 

Trail 1 – The trail starts at Donegal County Council Public Services Centre Neil T Blaney Rd

This trail is aimed at any and all staff in Letterkenny to have a well deserved extended dinner break that gives them time to enjoy the outdoors and the creative talent available on their doorstep.  Walkers will be greeted with poetry from local artists to set them off on their Wellness Trail.  Poets will line the route to give our walkers inspiration and encouragement   Walkers will continue to Create a Link for a viewing of the works being produced by past and present participants and return to Public Services Centre.  We will finish off with hot soup and a roll at Tobins Circle K with a short Q&A on support services across Donegal that supports Mental health & Wellbeing

Trail 2 – The Trail starts at  Letterkenny Town Park

 

Walkers will begin their Wellness Trail in the Town Park with poetry readings from local artists who will entertain and encourage the walkers around the town park.  Walkers will continue to Donegal County Museum to view EOLAS Exhibition “The Road We Travel” and will continue to Letterkenny Wellness Café An Grianan Theatre for hot soup and a roll and finish up with a Q & A on support services available across Donegal that supports Mental Health & Wellbeing

Letterkenny Youth & Family Services will lead the walk alongside Pramerica volunteers, DLDC, Donegal Volunteer Centre, Letterkenny Community Policing Unit, SOLAS, Worklink, Donegal Mental Health Services and CAWT Innovation Recovery College

 

High visibility vests will be provided for walkers

*Please note* – all indoor events are subject to change in adherence with Government restrictions.  Refreshments will be provided outside in the event of Level 3 restrictions

Max walkers 12 + 3 walk leaders walking in pods of 5
