How to share a personal true story about your mental health…safely
Talking about your own mental health or how you’ve been affected by someone else’s experiences in mental health isn’t easy.
Doing it in front of a roomful of strangers is even harder. But when done right, these stories can not only help you, the storyteller, come to terms with what you’ve learnt, stories can also pass on this hard earned wisdom to someone else who might be struggling.
If you’ve ever struggled in the past with your mental health but want to share a story about how you successfully managed to find a way through, then this session is for you. We’ll show you how to find, develop and deliver a personal true story about your own mental health in a safe but empowering way. Attendees will also be invited to take part in our open mic “First Steps” themed Story Slam on Jan 16th in the Sugar Club.
Tickets available from www.thedublinstoryslam.com in December.
