We want to tell you about some of the workshops we have planned for this year’s festival. It is important to us that the festival isn’t just about appreciating art, but creating art yourself!

*Materials for all workshops will be posted out in advance so make sure to register early! All workshops are open to beginners.*

Origami: Artist Rebecca Lyons will run 2 online oragami workshops for young people (ages 6-24) inspired by the Story of Sadako Sasaki and the 1,000 Crane Birds.

Wire sculpture: Glenn Gibson will be leading 3 workshops on wire sculpture, demonstrating how to make a tree, then bring you step by step through the process.

Hand weaving: Naoimh Larkin will teach us the basics of weaving on a hand-held frame loom, the history of the art form, and about the properties of different yarns and fibres.

And last but not least… Words From The Wise Ones Workshop: This is a writing workshop that will focus on the power of words.
