First Fortnight- 80s Murder Mystery Fundraiser

An online 80s themed murder mystery with content featuring Broadway Actors where attendees get to play Detective and guess who the murderer is!

Help solve a murder, raise funds for our mental health charity all while raising your hair with hairspray!

80s Mall Murder Madness
It’s 1985, and real estate developer and “entrepreneur” Whit Wiley has just cut the ribbon opening the newest marvel in his shopping mall empire: the Wiley Waterside Galleria Mall in Malibu.  Here, you could buy a wide range of Wiley- family branded products: ties, steaks, even handbags designed by his precocious daughter Willow Wiley.

Whit was to top the Forbes list of most rich and powerful men of 1985 - until he washed up in the mall fountain, strangled by his skinny tie.  Who could be responsible for the murder of this influential businessman?  Was it his first wife Wilhelmina Wiley, seeking revenge for Whit Wiley's many extramarital affairs?  Was it local super shopper Connie Sumer, angry over the Galleria’s inflated scrunchie prices?  Or was it fashion designer Cal Von Cline, who objected to Wiley's appallingly gaudy bad taste?

Time to whip out that credit card and tease that hair as big as it can go - we’re shopping for a murderer in 80’s Mall Murder Madness!

Appropriate for ages 16+!

This event takes place on Friday May 14, 7pm

This 1-1,5 hr murder mystery game will take place over Zoom.

Tickets are €12 for general admission to play an audience member/armchair detective, but purchasing attendees can also opt to test their luck and be entered into a raffle to play a character on screen in the murder mystery! There is no prep, other than costume if you choose, and nothing to memorize- enter to win and take the stage!

Hosted by Broadway Murder Mysteries, the audience will solve the crime using the evidence presented and through interrogation rounds with the colourful characters- that could be you! At the finale, the guests will get their chance to test their detective skills and make their final theories and accusations.

As this murder mystery is set in the totally rad 80s, the audience is heartily encouraged to fully embrace the experience and dress up 80s style with spot prizes to be given out. We have it on good authority that egg carton containers make excellent shoulder pads!

Broadway Murder Mysteries was created during the COVID-19 crisis in March of 2020, when many Broadway performers, writers, marketers, and talent were out of work. The Broadway shut down caused a massive affect of the theater community, and Broadway Murder Mysteries was created to give jobs to out of work talent, while creating something inherently theatrical that theater and mystery fans would love.

Each of our Murder Mysteries are created by Broadway talent, written by
playwrights, and voiced by Broadway performers.
